The Packer is responsible for the safe, efficient assistance of line operations, quality inspection, and product packaging while achieving production requirements. Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Manager and/or the Manufacturing Supervisor/Department Lead, the Packer will assist the operator as required with production documentation, materials set up, and required line activities to ensure the highest quality products are produced.
The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED and/or a Silver Level National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC); at least two years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or assembly environment that includes proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills; and the ability to use hand tools to help make minor adjustments and repairs. He or she must be able to successfully complete designated selection exams and must meet the essential functions of this position as described.
To meet the essential functions of this position the individual must be able to:
Frequently lift up to 40 pounds to move or carry product
Frequently perform repetitive reaching, grasping, and lifting of product, materials, and boxes
Work in a non-climate controlled environment in temperatures up to 95 degrees in summer months
Frequently communicate with users to understand their requests
Frequently see product colors and differentiate between shades
Regularly use specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
Frequently stand, walk, squat, stoop, or kneel, reach above the head, and bend or twist the neck and trunk
Occasionally use a computer work stationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
